DEVASTATING TO STATE AND IT'S PEOPLE.

People of (state) Selangor are no longer talking about national issues, not even the MH370 & MH17 catastrophes, but all conversations are centered and focused to their own state's political catastrophe.

Public places where they used to hangouts becoming a common platforms for their talks, debates, voicing views and opinions and even analysis.

To be part of their company can be quite interesting. These people are aware that their voices would not be heard by leaderships of the conflicting factions, but it's okay, they said.

They stressed that when a snap-polls becomes reality, they are sure their voices would be 'heard', referring to their votes.

The pro-TS Khalid (incumbent MB) said, despite all the uncertainties, they are convinced that the crisis would not be resolved any time sooner, even though after the most awaited day, this Sunday (PAS to meet to decide on it's stand on Khalid as MB).

PAS is seen to this date throwing their support behind embattled MB Khalid. They added that whatever happens now is all rooted from DS Anwar's wrong move, which has dragged the DAP to receive similar fate when all their Executive Councillors (Excos) were sacked with immediate effect by Khalid after obtaining the consent of the Sultan of Selangor.

The pro-Khalid are amused when the Kajang Move which was resolved to precipitate 'hardships' on Khalid has failed (at least this far), but instead, they (PKR & it's leaders) are the ones in disarray.

Clearly they are not at all prepared with Khalid's stunning move in seeking the consent of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to sack PKR & DAP Councillors (Excos) should they refuse to support him.

Anwar is now trampled, leaving him with no other option other than urging Khalid to step-down, to the extent of discrediting a man whom he used to call 'a close and family friend'.

According to sources, they said PAS president DS Hadi Awang has had an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin and had given his commitment that PAS would continue to support Khalid.

It took place before Khalid's expulsion from his former party and was arranged by a member of the royalty close to Khalid, but supporting PAS.

The source also said that only Hadi was granted for an audience with the Sultan.

They claimed that PAS is fully aware that the Kajang Move tend to cause more distress than benefits to the state and it's people and that they disagreed to propel Azizah to the MB post.

Given no choice, PAS has to agree with Kajang by-election but with a condition that Khalid's position as MB would not be affected. However, it was ignored by Anwar.

It is apparent now that PAS support for Khalid has given them the 'migraines' not only to PKR, but the DAP. They are now seen coarsely 'pushing' PAS.

As it is, already there are party members exerting pressures urging party leadership to make a decision even before Sunday.

Whatever it is, 'signal' from the palace is clear when HRH Sultan Sharafuddin declined Anwar's request for an audience a day after Khalid was sacked.

Pro-Khalid also opined that the Sultan has acted wisely in declining such request to avoid HRH from being dragged into PKR internal party conflicts.

I have mentioned in my earlier articles in relation to Kajang Move that one of the potential 'hurdles' PR might encounter is, the palace.

The Sultan may not see the need to replace his MB when HRH is happy with his performances and that he is not proven to have breach the law.

I guess, the reality is in front of us now.

As far as two PAS' reps who declared their support for Azizah even before the party meets this Sunday, the pro-Khalid asked, are they not going against the party? PAS' Wan Azizah backers willing to go Independent

When they had indicated their open support for Azizah and that they are prepared to face disciplinary actions, are they not doing what Khalid has done?

They further questioned, should any of their reps (PKR & DAP) do the same, wouldn't they hurl accusation that they have been bought?

Anyway, they said eventually, The Sultan will decide if really Azizah could be the MB of Selangor. From now on, even with the pledge of support from PAS' duo, a vote of no-confidence could only be resolved at the Selangor state assembly. Next assembly meeting is in November.

The standing order states that in the duration, between August and November, the only person who can call for a vote of no confidence would be Khalid himself. However, HRH Sultan Sharafuddin could call for a motion to convene the State Legislative Assembly should a request is made by any State Executive Committee (Exco) member or the MB himself.

As it is now, only the four PAS' Excos could do that as PKR and DAP Excos have been sacked.

Until then, anything can still happen including the possibility of Khalid obtaining "outside" support. What is also apparent now is PAS' consistency in it's stance of nominating alternative names for the post of MB. Discussion between PKR and PAS hits brick wall

It is the Sultan who will have to make a decision on the MB post and it is also the Sultan who would eventually have to decide who will be the MB, and not the political party.

Sadly, the fiasco in Selangor is hurting the state and it's people. What it takes for politicians to be responsible and accountable for their actions.
