SAD ENDING TO KHALID - CHEERFUL BEGINNING TO HUSBAND & WIFE PAIR, ANWAR/AZIZAH

At last, PKR deputy president Azmin Ali said that it was PAS' prerogative (to submit name of their choice).

"That is a decision for PAS to make which we must respect.

"I can't speak on behalf of PAS even though my nomination was endorsed by them," he said.
No guarantee only Wan Azizah's name will be sunmitted

It was reported that according to palace sources, the Sultan arrived home Saturday evening, This means, the Sultan would be able to address the Selangor crisis from Monday onward.

The Sultan should be given time to digest the latest development in Selangor at his own pace without unnecessary pressure or intimidation from any quarters.

Outrageous remarks and provocations against the Sultan would only invite complications to future relations with the palace.

The new administration would face constraints on certain issues of the state in the absence of warm relations with the palace.

PAS MP for Shah Alam who earlier brought the wrath of the Ruler now said, that the Sultan of Selangor should not be given absolute discretion to decide the next Selangor MB -  would only further strain his relations with the Sultan.

Khalid Samad is known to be among the several leaders of PAS who are critical of Khalid Ibrahim's administration.

Also believed as one of PAS several leaders enjoying "closer rapport" with Anwar and the DAP, Khalid's statement was regarded by his party colleagues, secretary-general Mustafa Ali and information chief Zaidy Abdul Talib, as his personal view and that it did not represent the party's stand.

"It does not reflect PAS' stand. This was his own opinion.

"PAS' stand is what is contained in the state constitution, where it says that His Royal Highness has the final say in the appointment of the menteri besar," Mustafa said in the party's organ Harakahdaily.

Being MP for Shah Alam which is in (state) Selangor, is he ignorant of the state constitution as far as appointment of menteri besar is concerned?

Or is it his party (PAS) which have read the Selangor state constitution wrongly?

If Khalid is wrong (ignorant) of the Selangor state constitution, his call to limit the Ruler's discretion would fuel further annoyance of the Sultan.

It is statements like his (Khalid Samad) that would result in adverse repercussions to the Opposition coalition.

As far as husband & wife pair of Anwar/Azizah are concerned, being de facto leader and president of PKR respectively, they were seen failed to -
  1. Restrain squabbles, power tussle and/or manage internal party affairs.
  2. Ensure seamless party elections.
Are the young men and women in PKR sicked and tired too, that the turnout at the Youth and Wanita meetings was less than encouraging?

Why are they not interested to fill up the many empty chairs and why were the mood was reported as being lukewarm mood?

Are they becoming less energetic?

Why are they not using the 10th annual congress as platform to "grill" Umno/BN like the usual?

Have they become members of a down to earth party OR are they no longer command the moral high ground to hurl criticisms at others after what has taken place in their party?

OR, is it simply because they now realized that they have only themselves to blame for all the episodes from Kajang Move, problematic party elections to MB post fiasco?

Many said PKR had successfully attracted many young Malaysians who scout for a fresh brand of politics, but does PKR also realize that they (the young) are not at all amused with what is happening?

Perhaps, the outcome of the Youth wing election, the 15 members of the newly elected Youth exco who staged a protest walkout when their chief made his maiden speech, showcased it all.

And how would Nik Nazmi possibly be an effective youth chief when 80% of the line-up are made up of his party election contender, Amirudin's boys?

Thus, what is the assurance that there won't be a recurrence of "Khalid Ibrahim like saga" in the future?

Azizah (even Anwar) is seen of having trouble to contain her (his) own party, thus, "over-selling" Azizah would be better than Khalid as MB of Selangor is rather skeptical in the mind of many Selangorians, especially, when only few believed that she posses the necessary economic know-how, much needed to run most developed and richest state, Selangor.

I'm not certain if PR (the coalition) is aware that many Selangor people in particular, were observing their shenanigans starting with PKR's Kajang Move to oust Khalid Ibrahim.

I'm also not certain if PR is aware that the Kajang Move has to this date, left majority of average people of Selangor in state of confusion or befuddled.

These people are wondering why PR particularly PKR, resorted to "deceptive politicking" that leaves large puddles in the governance of Selangor.

They felt that the handling of Khalid is reckless which led to his expulsion from the party, other than forming an impression that PKR is incapable of managing the political crisis effectively.

Thus, they opined - from the manner situations are managed - not only that they were dreadful, but has divulged the fault lines in PKR.

They believed, PKR seriously lacks in party discipline - except, greed and/or craze for power. It was never for the best interest of Selangor people, let alone the state.

There's perception that Anwar's avarice for Selangor MB seat (now through his wife Azizah) do not reflect as prioritizing what people of Selangor actually wanted but more to rescue his political survival.

Whoever will eventually be selected by the Sultan to become MB, it looks like the proponents of the Kajang Move finally has achieved their objective when Khalid has to relinquish his position for his successor.

To the average Selangorians, they are relieved that Khalid finally accepted his fate and they are sure to miss him.

They realized how Selangor has prospered under his stewardship in more than just the RM3.2 billion reserve for Selangor's coffer, despite his shortcomings which are common elemental characteristics of becoming a leader.

Many Selangorians know he is one hell of down-to-earth and humbled person.

His potential successor (should nomination is consented by the Sultan) Azizah was reported to have asked, what's the point of having RM3 billion if it is not used for the people.

She could now get all the credit in the world for using "freely" what Khalid has this far saved for Selangor.

I would be more than obliged to "monitor" what she will do with the money, being a Selangorian myself.
