SEDITIOUS FOR MALAYSIAKINI AND IT'S READERS, OK FOR MUSLIM NGO LEADERS?.

I was overawed when Prime Minister Najib threatened to sue Malaysiakini over comments in it's 'Your say' articles the latter published in regards to his handling of the recent Terengganu political turmoil.
Najib threatens to sue Malaysiakini over comments

In contrary to his typical 'silence' approach on many serious issues of great public attention, he was fast this time to react over comments by Malaysiakini subscriber readers.

One thing is obvious. PM Najib and his aides are now seemed sensitive enough with people's opinion and/or views on the Terengganu saga.

"All the accusations made by users on Malaysiakini.com were totally baseless, without concrete proof and are very serious, on top of having ill-intent (mala fide) to damage the reputation and image of our clients,” said Mohd Hafarizam, an Umno lawyer.

Meanwhile, Housing and Local Government Abdul Rahman Dahlan (pic) had demanded that Malaysiakini be held accountable for its “malicious articles”.

“Using irrational readers’ comments as headlines is gutter journalism... Don’t hide behind your mad readers’ comments,” he said in a series of postings in Twitter.

Ironically, PM Najib and his aides like Abdul Rahman Dahlan fell short to act on the numerous provocative statements and/or comments by NGO leaders such as Isma and Perkasa which majority Malaysians felt that they are not only racist but seditious.

If Abdul Rahman claimed that Malaysiakini had used irrational readers' comments as headlines and reminded the latter not to hide behind it's mad readers, my only question for him - is Isma and Perkasa leaders hide behind Umno/BN?.

I would not want to call them mad leaders like Abdul Rahman conveniently labeled Malaysiakini readers, but majority Malaysians would have no difficulty to form an opinion on their statements/comments and even actions.

Chinese migrants are intruders..

Malays, Islam under siege..

'What more do non-Muslims want?'

Ibrahim Ali is a dangerous politician..

I recalled Isma president Abdullah Zaik was reported to have said that he is entitled to his (Isma) opinion when former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad admonished Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) for its hudud and "immigrant" comments directed at non-Muslims.

Dr Mahathir (pic) had said,""It is not helping to calm the situation down. Keep it to yourself," when asked on Abdullah Zaik Abd Rahman's statement about Chinese being "trespassers."

At a press conference at Isma headquarters, Abdullah Zaik said Hudud should be enforced on everyone, not just Muslims.

"For Muslims, it means cleansing themselves from sin. For non-Muslims, it is for the interest of national security," he said.

It's appalling when leaders of the Muslim NGOs could rebut their statements/comments as their opinion while readers of Malaysiakini's views on matters with national interest are considered seditious.
