WHETHER IT'S MB AZIZAH OR MB ....?....., SELANGOR MUST GO ON.

In continuation to my last article about the "experts", they seemed 'choked" with role of the Sultan.

Many knew constitutional expert, Prof Dr Abdul Aziz Bari.

He said,"The role of the Sultan is a formal one, a very ceremonial one role. Just hand over the appointment letter, as simple as that. And let the government do it's business."

Aziz also blamed PAS for involving the Sultan in selecting the next MB (chief minister) by providing two names for Sultan's consideration.

Here we have a lecturer telling the Sultan of what to do in a forum - the Selangor crisis. I wonder - why is he blaming PAS for whatever stance it has on the MB crisis?

Is he telling that PAS' voice need not be heard? Blaming PAS as such could also be construed "challenging" the stance of PAS supremos.

PAS may have it's own reason(s) for doing so. Thus, is he (Aziz) telling that PAS should just shut-up and remain subservient to PKR supremo?
Sultan should not be the final arbiter in Selangor MB cisis

Many also knew Ambiga Sreenevasan, who was formerly with Bersih 2.0.
"The problem was actually caused by one person. Because to me the rule was quite simple," said Ambiga.

Never mind with what "shirts" these "experts" are wearing, but since they were regarded "experts" in their respective fields, their views and opinions should sound unbiased, so that they could be acceptable by all level of people from both political divide.

In the context of MB crisis, Ambiga surely knew the need for PR to convince the Sultan of the confidence Azizah secured from the state lawmakers.

And it's very likely she also knew the "strength" of Malaysian statutory declarations. There had been rampant made then unmade statutory declarations in Malaysia.

The Sultan could choose a vote of no-confidence in the state assembly to ascertain Azizah's dominance of majority support from the House.

The problem is caused by one person?
Which problem?
Khalid's refusal to step-down on his own is the problem?
But has Khalid flawed the law for not stepping down?

What more, he received the consent of the Ruler to stay on, at least for some time.

Fine, he don't command the majority support from the lawmakers now after he had been sacked from PKR , but prior to that, Umno and PAS had indicated their pledge of support for him.

With the change of stance by PAS, it become obvious Khalid has lost the majority to cling on the MB post, but the Selangor Ruler was away and would only return tomorrow (Sunday Aug 23rd).

Is it not appropriate to wait for the Sultan to return and get the necessary consent for change of MB to allow a smooth transition of power?

"Experts" like Aziz and Ambiga don't seem vocal on the Kajang by-election which is simply, a waste of public funds.

Public funds used not for the interest of the people and state, but more to fulfill hidden (now exposed) agenda of several leaders in PKR.

That's the real root of the problem. Aziz and Ambiga should also hold a forum for PKR's 40-page dossier as they (the issuers) failed to lodge immediately the allegation of wrongdoings by Khalid to relevant authorities.

The allegations are serious and it involves interest of the people, let alone the state.

A friend e-mailed me and asked why am I so defensive of Khalid and sound critical to Anwar Ibrahim and several PKR leaders.

My answer is simple.
I don't defend Khalid. If indeed, he has flawed the law, he should be investigated and prosecuted.

Critical of Anwar and several PKR leaders?
Well, I guessed, Anwar and the several PKR leaders are not the leaders I used to know them.

I hope, I would soon stop writing about Selangor MB crisis and that would only happen if the crisis is resolved after Monday.

Like the rest of my Selangorian friends, we are hopeful a new MB would soon be appointed to continue administrating the state.
