#Black505 election protest againts Election Commission (EC) earlier today at #PdgMerbok was the 15th this far.
Like all the past 14 #Black505 rallies nationwide, demand for the en bloc resignation of the current heads & commissioners of the Election Commission remains it's prime objective.
Till this day, there is still not a slightest sign or indication that demand on the resignation of Abd Aziz & Wan Ahmad becoming a reality.
PKR targetted 300, 000 strong crowd but Malaysiakini in their live reports estimated around 30, 000 at it's peak.
Weather (haze) could have been one of the factors that detered participants from attending.
With KL registering 77 & 79 in air pullutant index (API), very likely many opted not to dare the weather especially with their children accompanying them.
As #Black505 is considered a national agenda, participants include supporters nationwide.
With haze choking many parts of Johor, Malacca & Negeri Sembilan, it could have hindered them from travelling to K.Lumpur.
(Pasir Gudang & Kota Tinggi in Johore registered above 300 in API)
Other than haze, warnings by the authorities (police) that stern action will be taken againts demonstrators not much a little, has it's impact.
I read a tweet by one who wrote ;though he is a fan of PR, he hope #PdgMerbok is the last.
Reason being, tired to serial demonstrations.
But his reason(s) may not be taken seriously by PR leaderships or those willing & prepared to 'swim' or 'sink' with them until their pre-determined objective is achieved.
I was pleased when authorities (police) did not go 'head-on' with assemblers but saddened when Husam Musa was nabbed for probe under the sedition act.
Another activist, Khalid Ismath was also picked up believed to be charged under the same act.
I also read in twitter that Zahid Ibrahim (ex-minister in BN coalition govt & a lawyer) was also picked up for similar offence.
However, at time this is written, I'm not sure of his actual status.
Many are awaiting trials and how many more will be hauled up and charge before prime demand of #Black505 is met, only time can tell.
