"THEN, NOW & FOREVER?" NOT WITH BICKERING AND POWER STRUGGLE!

Fascinated with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) scenes on Monday night, suddenly I felt distracted when,"Then, Now & Forever" flashing on the screen followed by images of then and now popular wrestlers.

At that instance, I recalled that Umno is also using the translated version (in Malay),"Dulu, Kini & Selamanya."

Appalled and tickled for a moment, I was wondering who is copy-cat'ing who?
WWE is a popular TV program watched by millions worldwide while Umno is the single largest party in Barisan Nasional (BN) ruling coalition.

I can't find an immediate answer as who is "copy-cat'ing" who, but when wrestling scenes continued, it just disappeared in thin air.

Just as I was about to begin with this article, it strikes my mind. While my mind is computing whether to continue with my last content, I thought it's okay to use it as an opening, to get the ball rolling, so to speak.

Never mind, who is copy-cat'ing who, but If you ask me, I would say Umno should consider rephrasing the slogan especially, with the word forever.

Being a party with Muslim majority members, they must be aware that only God the Almighty is forever. That's what Muslims believed.

Anyway, No Issue!

What I like to regard an issue is when picture of Selangor Menteri Besar (MB) Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim meeting PAS president Datuk Seri Hj Abdul Hadi Awang with his secretary-general Mustapha Ali found space in Umno's owned newspaper Utusan.

The paper wrote that it was earlier posted on twitter belonging to a People's Justice Party's (PKR) suspended member, Badrul Hisham Shahrin, popularly known as Chegubard (pic).

Even if it is true that Khalid would be joining PAS, I consider that a consequence PKR has to bear for allowing endless bickering, power-struggle and most importantly the bashing of Khalid himself from PKR leaders and some leaders within the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) pact.

If it turns out to be untrue, I regard it a silly act of Chegubard to have posted the picture with message that could be seen provoking and/or attracting unnecessary speculation

Again, I am not defending Khalid, but isn't anyone has the right to meet anybody at time and venue they please? Is Khalid an exception or is he committing any crime?

I have said, if PKR members don't learn how to stop "poking" one another and continue "milking the water" especially on issue(s) or leader(s) with unresolved matters, it would give an adverse effect to the party.

That's precisely why I have posed the question,"Is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) loosing his sense of authority in PKR?."
Being de facto leader, he is seen "drowned" by antiques of his party stalwarts while party president Datin Dr Wan Azizah (Kak Wan) seems "drowned" with political game by her party lieutenants.

She appeared torn between those influence leaders around Anwar and the other half. Kak Wan was reported "comfortable" with Khalid being Selangor MB.
Popular opinion is that, DSAI or Kak Wan or both must indicate his/her/their stance on Khalid and the position he held, Selangor MB.

On Tuesday, while having my break of fast at a near-by restaurant, I flipped open a couple of mainstream newspapers lying on the table.
It was reported that Selangor PAS is now advocating that Khalid be allowed to serve out as MB for a full term.

A PAS Selangor meeting was held and chaired by party president Hj Hadi and attended by four PAS state executive councilors, assemblymen, MPs and division heads.

It was further reported that those in favor of Khalid to continue as MB dominated those who are not. It was the very same evening that Hj Hadi with his secretary-general Mustapha went to Khalid's Bukit Damansara house at 11pm which Mustapha claimed a mere "courtesy call after terawih" prayers.

As we are in the month of Ramadan, it is only logical to have any meeting late at night or even at midnight taking into account terawih prayers end about 10pm.
Thus, Mustapha's statement answered those with "suspicious minds" surrounding the meeting and even time of the meeting, including Chegubard.

Unless Chegubard has a hidden agenda, he should not have posted the picture and wrote a message that could be seen as inviting uncalled speculation and "painting a bad picture" of Khalid.

Selangor PAS commissioner and state executive councilor Iskandar Samad, the one who several leaders of PAS wanted him nominated for the post of Selangor MB said, it made no sense to change Khalid who is seen a "clean leader" and "not corrupt".

It looks to me, the only option left for PKR and/or several influential leaders to "get rid" of Khalid is to sack him from the party, just like how Anwar is sacked from cabinet followed by Umno party by Tun Mahathir.

If Anwar feels his sacking is unjustified and politically motivated, won't Khalid feels the same if it happens to him? Being MB for more than one term, Khalid could have supporters and followers of his own. Then what? Look at Kelantan PAS when they terminated MB from his own party. Look at Umno when they sacked Anwar. Both gave massive impact to respective parties.

The papers added that among PAS leaders critical of Khalid's administration are Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad (pic), Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin and Meru assemblyman Dr Abd Rani Osman.

While others who spoke for him to stay on said, PAS should not be dragged into what they see as a "PKR drama" to topple Khalid.

Lembah Jaya assemblyman Khasim Abd Aziz was reported to have said, if PAS cannot make a bid for the MB post, then it should be a status-quo in Selangor.

As I was finishing my drink, TV3 prime news at 8pm came live on air. I was shocked hearing the speech of Selangor Ruler, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. It was reported that the Sultan is "murka" (angry) with Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad. First, he is critical of Khalid, and now he has angered the Sultan of Selangor.

Another surprising news is when PKR's strategy director Rafizi Ramli who was alleged a traitor, responsible of splitting and creating divisions in the party. Rafizi is among PKR leaders named in the police report lodged by a group supporting Khalid's administration and the architect for Kajang Move which is seen by many - a sheer blunder.

People like Ezam Mohd Nor (pic), Lokman Adam and many more whom I have met most of them if not all at the height of "reformasi" movement were at one time DSAI/PKR lieutenants thus, if those found responsible of causing divisions and/or splitting the party are not reprimanded or appropriate action served on them, the possibility of more lieutenants leaving PKR cannot be ruled out.

To all my friends in social media who are PKR members or supporters, please "hold your horse", if in anyway, you feel offended with this article, please "put your temper on ice", as I do not have personal grudge with the party or all it's leaders & supporters.

All I wanted to see is a strong Opposition Front in Malaysia to play the role of check & balance at the same time preparing themselves towards becoming a viable front - an Alternative Front to BN.

Malaysians at this era are no more ignorant of what is going on in their parties. They can "sense" and "smell" things thus, taking them for a ride or taking them for granted may prove disastrous.

Not that I wanted to be an "arm-chair" critic, throwing unreasonable views about PKR and it's leaders, but as one who is aware and understand their original struggle, what I always wanted is for PKR to continue moving in the right direction, with their pre-determined political objectives.

In this age of a materialistic world, numerous things may have been fortuitously or deliberately omitted.
First, they would go for wealth and then power. In doing so, they may even come to a stage where it becomes a pressure to themselves. They try of becoming a different people and started forgetting who they are.

Lost in their own course, they start making mistakes in translation and manifestation, simply because they have started to become materialistic and power-crazy - though confession to that effect is unlikely.

At one stage, their good intention is suicidal because they are merely seen to have good intention when in actual fact - too ambitious, especially when that could give them the edge over their opponents.

The good intent that looks awesome initially, end up with deeds derived out of dissatisfaction or frustration.

It happened, towards the end of my career, when I was invited to a meeting with a group wanting to enhance their training module to a larger scale.

In the first meeting, things looked fine, but not in the following meeting. What they actually wanted start surfacing and it was then that I found that they came from a separate group dissatisfied with the current administration of the organisation.

They collaborated to form a new group to fight the incumbent. When things became crystal clear, without hesitation, I withdrew from all their future meetings, let alone joining them.

Many may not realised, the impact of whatever looks good if filled with sentiments of dissatisfaction would in the end, disastrous not only to themselves, but the organisation.

When we undertake a task out of dissatisfaction, more often than not, we are not doing it with our soul, but lust.
Lust will then form a block of negative emotion that drives us into seeing what is bad rather than good. When a plan is executed with strong elements of dissatisfaction, lust would be the driver and mistakes/errors become inevitable.

Mistakes after mistakes, simply because they tried of being perfect - when they know, no one is perfect. Eventually, emotions becoming the core energy.

The most common situation is where one who is dissatisfied with his/her employer starts scouting for new job opportunity.
When a new job is secured, without much thinking he/she would "jump the ship" and ignored the need to see if it suits his/her soul. After months of working, hearts start shaking, pressure is then felt.

This happens because the change was made out of dissatisfaction and not genuine desire for career advancement.

We need to stop listening to "cheating poems" in our minds as it will dismantle our very soul - finely destroying it with hatred and make living a burden.

Whether it's political party or non-political organization, I believe, the same apply. Regrets are always behind us, thus, ignoring to right the wrong would eventually left us with ourselves to take the blame.
