ANXIOUSLY WAITED MONDAY - WHAT COULD BE THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION TO THE CRISIS?

I can't afford but to laugh when PKR's strategy director and also regarded by many of party proponents "best-brain" of PKR said,"If you are not confident with the party and the struggle of it's leaders to fight corruption, you are welcome to leave," he said during his winding-up speech at the 10th PKR annual congress, report The Star Online

"One of the strongest attacks of nepotism against Anwar and his family has come from within the party.

"Some of these accusations have even come from delegates present here today but now they will not dare to admit it," he added.

When the "Reformasi Movement" by Anwar was launched, PKR (People's justice Party) was yet to be formed.

For staunched supporter of the movement like me, who participated in most of their programs, we were hung without a party as most of us have deserted Umno.

What we have then was PAS and DAP. For me, given no choice, I have decided to join PAS and became committee member of then Sri Damansara branch as I felt it's always better to be a party member than a sheer supporter.

I used to be emcee for PAS' organized "ceramah" (political speeches) and that's where, I knew in persons PAS leaders such as Mohd Sabu, Nik Aziz and others.

When PKR was formed, I was not that attracted to join the party as I was quite "comfortable" of being a PAS member and thinking that since PKR is an ally of PAS in the alliance, there is no need of me to jump ship.

And if you were to ask me now, I would honestly tell you that my decision to join PAS, and not to jump ship after PKR was formed, is a rightful decision, despite my massive support of Anwar's struggle then.

I laughed out at Rafizi's above call as I have saved myself from the trouble of leaving the party now for obvious reasons - unhappy with PKR's leadership.

You see, as a moment in every Anwar's "Remormasi" Movement rallies, I can remember them all - when Anwar come on stage, three big words of corruption, cronyism and nepotism never slip from his lips.

And today, Rafizi likened nepotism in PKR akin the struggle of the Gandhi family in India is misleading - if not an insult to intelligence.

As I have said, they may be great in manipulating with words and phrases to justify what is seen as their less than appropriate actions or stance, but majority public are not so foolish to evaluate between what they have said and done.

Likewise, the Kajang Move which was widely said "architect-ed" by Rafizi, failed to convince all his party members, let alone all Selangor voters and the public.

Some even predicted the Kajang Move is going to be "a total car crash" to PKR as a party, and PR as the alliance pact/coalition.

First, their action to "force" incumbent assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh to "resign" was morally, if not democratically wrong.

Lee was elected by the people (voters) of Kajang to serve them when he secured the mandate of the people by winning the 13th general election with a majority of 6824 votes.

Secondly, it is also morally if not democratically wrong to call for a by-election not in the interest of the people but more to meet party or it's leaders' personal aspirations.

Thirdly, the waste of public fund (used to hold the by-election) contradicted to Anwar's fiery speeches of Umno/BN wastage in his "Reformasi" Movement rallies.

Possibly, the above could also be the "untold" reasons behind PAS' reluctance to endorse Wan Aizah's single nomination for the post of MB (chief minister) of Selangor.

One could imagine the "noises" PKR/PR leaders would have made, should the BN was to do what they have done in Kajang.

And can we accept the excuse that the BN have also done it before to justify their action in Kajang? What is the difference then?

I have also repeatedly said, in this era, more and more people are becoming aware between good course and bad course.

Less and lesser are people who support for the sake of supporting, in short - the fanatics.

Rafizi or even other leaders in PKR need not worry by telling their delegates to leave the party if they are not happy, isn't the lukewarm congress with empty seats a glaring indication and a case in point?

You don't say one thing in the morning only to change it by the evening. In Khalid Ibrahim's case, we could see how much PKR/PR leaders talked eggs in the morning and chicken by the afternoon.

Yet, barely more than a year ago, it was PKR/PR leaders who were riding on Khalid's reputation as a clean and capable technocrat to win the 13th general election.

Video clips of PKR and DAP leaders praising him to the stars are all over social media to be shared with people of Selangor and others.

Now Khalid has been painted the bad guy (devil?) for disrupting what they wanted, a seamless transition of power to Azizah.

Even Azizah has started to criticize Khalid during her party's 10th national congress, saying that the Selangor people don't get the benefit out of Khalid's "stingy" administration, but the irony is, she did not criticize until Khalid completed the first term of his administration or even during the 13th general election.

Azizah simply and conveniently used Selangor people but how many Selangor people has she met and asked if they supported her, let alone in agreement with her statements?

I'm a Selangorian myself. I have yet to hear Azizah has met my "Kampung" (village) folk to ask if all agreed with her.

One thing that Rafizi and others not aware or pretended as not being aware is the fact that people are unanimous that the problems leading to the present turmoil in Selangor rooted from the Kajang Move.

Conduct a survey on Kajang Move and Kajang by-election, should there be doubts about it.

The Kajang Move not only believed to have caused the fiasco in Selangor politics, but has led to big blame game among parties in Opposition pact.

The DAP sang along with PKR in blaming PAS for causing the impasse by it's refusal to only endorse Wan Azizah for the MB post and also PAS' insistence on an alternative name to go along with Azizah.

PAS had explained that it is not blocking Azizah, but merely wants an alternative name to be presented to the Selangor Ruler for his consideration.

If PKR and DAP cannot understand PAS stance wanting an alternative name to be submitted, PAS also don't understand PKR and DAP, particularly Anwar for disagreeing to PAS' request.

When you say unanimous, all parties must agree. You don't use "political force" and threats to reach a unanimous decision. That's undemocratic.

Now, as this article is prepared, it's almost midnight, Sunday. In few hours we would or could possibly see or hear some reactions or developments, especially from the palace, surrounding the MB crisis.

It is most awaited moment to see how the palace address the Selangor turmoil and it is hoped that whatever action(s) by the Ruler would contribute or lead to an end to the episode.
