IS FRESH MANDATE THE BEST SOLUTION?
The whole political crisis (MB post fiasco) in Selangor was self-inflicted by PKR (People's Justice Party) when it's own (now former) member, TS Khalid Ibrahim, appointed MB (chief minister) for a 2nd term after 13th general election (GE13) was sacked from the party.
Yes! PKR inflicted the crisis through it's political grand design to oust MB Khalid Ibrahim - design popularly known as the Kajang Move.
Thus, I am in complete agreement with many quarters that a fresh election is necessary as it can be considered the best solution to the crisis.
It's not more on whether PR (People's Pact) would gain or lose more seats, but it's more for the people of Selangor (voters) to "speak-up" relating to the entire saga.
Yes! it's costly! (holding the snap-election).
Yes!! it's going to cost taxpayers money!!
But what the hell? Isn't it PKR which started (wasting of public fund) with the Kajang by-election?
And with PKR primarily the root of the whole mess, let the people (voters) "express their views" using their votes.
Let's get a fresh mandate. People's mandate.
"Thanks" the PKR for it's failure to manage it's own internal affair!
The pro-PR analysts said PR would win the state with reduced seats, some also said PR would retain Selangor and may even do better with enhanced majority and some said PR could win due to anti-Umno/BN sentiments.
The pro-BN said otherwise.
Anyway, I'm not at all concerned with analysts' predictions. They can predict what they like. It's not about predictions. It's more than that. It's about people's confidence of PR as an alternative coalition.
PKR and it's leaders especially, always said they are right.
Whatever they do is right.
What others do are wrong.
Any wrongdoing leveled at them is conspiracy, but to others, it's not.
I'm not sure, are they denying the fact and truth that many Selangor People are getting sicked & tired of their antiques?
What it takes for them to realize that many people in Selangor are bored with their squabblings and power tussle to the extent "perforating people's intestines?"
Where are the integrity and professionalism they preach?
Are they not just being rhetoric?
With the Selangor saga, aren't they (PKR, PAS & DAP) exposing and showcasing themselves as being an inferior alternative to the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition?
The people of Selangor have always wanted a functional government with capable leaders to steer the state another notch and certainly not leaders positioning their personal interests above all.
PR has got the opportunity to govern the most developed and richest state of the land Selangor, but just look what is happening now?
A government led by an Independent MB?
No, he was not an Independent MB. PKR made him independent MB by choice.
With the current mess in Selangor, how could PR convince Malaysians that it is indeed, a superior alternative pact?, let alone to use Selangor to showcase their potentials.
What PR (especially PKR) had portrayed or showcased particularly in Selangor, is only political immaturity instead of their true potential, at the same time, seen as giving "empty hope" to Selangor people at large.
Dr Wan Azizah's "strength" in administrating the state, let alone the nation, is never tested.
Fine, so are others, but public still have the fear that Azizah, who possessed "strength" out of people's admiration and subservience towards her husband Anwar Ibrahim, could not be any better than the embattled MB, Khalid Ibrahim.
Worst, if she succumbs to "orders/instructions" of her husband, making her the puppet MB.
People also worry - if the consensus to support Azizah's nomination is analysed, there was political pressure used on PAS.
They said, should PAS' agreement on Azizah's nomination is due to the former's fear of a potential beak-up in the opposition pact, then PAS endorsement would always be questionable, raising the fear of future recurrence with a more challenging situation appearing in PR's path.
Too heavy to bear, a real challenge that suffocates PR by one irresistible convolution round it's "throat".
If there's one thing people of Selangor should learn out of PKR's rooted mess in Selangor, it is to cautiously scrutinize all campaign speeches and preaches of PR leaders and to judge them by their actions.
Thus, it's only through a fresh election would public's trust and confidence be restored once and for all and I would encourage Khalid to participate in the election to give him the platform to counter all allegations against him and also explain his continued opposition to his former party's instructions.
