THEY SAID, YAWNING IS CONTAGIOUS.. IS DENIAL CONTAGIOUS TOO?

"People will Hate you, Rate you, Shake you, and Break you. But how strong you stand is what makes you!,"  NO?

Be it in everyday life or in politics, only those who posses great courage and determination would earn sufficient energy to persevere to the end in spite of the unpredictable hurdles and challenges, and "Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand,"

I like reading "Rags to Riches" stories and one of the truly inspiring is a petrol pump attendant in India, Dhirubhai Ambani who became a multi-billionaire.

But I guess, not many are like Dhirubhai. Most of the rags here, or in most part of the world are to blame fate.

In politics, Malaysian politics in particular - the opposition parties are "rags" since independence in 1957.

They almost turn to "riches" in 2008, but unfortunately, the 52% majority in popular vote is denied by the "lob-sided" electoral system of the land.

The biggest hindrance the "Rags" (opposition) faced to sink the fortress of the current "Riches" (ruling party) is - inter-party differences within their loose alliance pact.

PKR's (People's Justice Party) ideology can blend well with the DAP's (Democratic Action Party), can "try to accommodate PAS' (Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party), but for the latter to blend with DAP's is arduous even for one common objective, to defeat Barisan Nasional (BN) in general election.

Their alliance was way back, considered a "marriage of convenience" especially by Umno/BN leaders & members.

Remember September 21, 2001?

DAP announced its decision to cut relations with the Muslim-dominated party, PAS. It was when DAP and PAS failed to resolve the Islamic State controversy that DAP ceases to be a member of the Alternative Front.

On PAS' Islamic state, then PRM's (Malaysian People's Party) vice president Sivarasah Rasiah said,"Our political program is firmly rooted in the reality of multiracial and multi-religious Malaysia. We oppose an Islamic state for Malaysia."

But should PAS eventually pull out of PR (People's Pact) after Aug 10 PR's leaders meeting to make a decision on TS Khalid's position as the chief minister (MB), it would further showcase a marriage of convenience is far from practical and credible.

How would a pact/coalition derived from "marriage of convenience" take the acid challenge in ruling the nation, when even at state level, they stumbled?

DS Anwar has all along been seen a leader capable of enhancing collaborations and intimacy between PAS and the DAP.

The Selangor MB post and Khalid's issue will be a real test on Anwar's capability towards reaching a consensus among the three parties.

It's a public knowledge that the DAP endorsed the plan by PKR to oust it's party member Khalid, and it's also a public knowledge that both two top PAS leadership, party president Datuk Hj Abdul Hadi and it's spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz endorsed Khalid to continue his tenure as MB - though in their personal capacity.

Even at their personal capacity, any member going against them would be construed hostile to party president and party spiritual leader respectively.

I stick to my personal opinion that Anwar is partly to take the blame.

Firstly, he failed to address differences between Azmin and Khalid at the birth of the conflict.

Secondly, he failed to control or curb hostility of his leaders in PKR against Khalid.

Thirdly, his "Kajang Plan".

Now, when "Nasi sudah menjadi bubur" (Rice has turned porridge/ overshot, beyond repair), we started hearing Batu Caves assemblyman Amirudin Shari saying he had stopped making statements against the MB.

Amirudin is widely said an Azmin's man.

Several DAP leaders have joined Khalid's party colleagues in making and/or issuing negative statements against him, pushing him to a corner, on the defensive, let alone letting him to do his job.

Their only offer for solution is the shouts of "Get out Khalid" which is far from helping to resolve the situation amicably.

How could Anwar be in a situation of having difficulty to meet a person he once flowers with praises?

He must have angered and hurt Khalid real bad.

The astonishing thing is, those people hostile of Khalid want him to leave amicably, but at the same time they throw provocative statements.

Is hostility the culture of PR now?

Anwar talk so much of injustices over his sacking, but is he giving justice to Khalid?

He is the de facto leader of PKR for goodness sake. Not an ordinary member. Surely he could have done something to avoid the present mess.

And several leaders of the DAP seen "lebih sudu dari kuah" (those of less in power/no power talk louder than the ones in real power) worsened the situation.

As I have said, its not difficult to read the written and the unwritten of such action. Even if PKR appoint a "donkey" DAP would still try to "endorse" the "donkey" rather than letting PAS taking over the baton.

Of course, they could deny that, if they want to.

People said yawning is contagious, so is smile.. denial which is synonymous of several BN leaders could also be contagious. No?

What many fear is, the taking over of Selangor's MB post from Khalid is motivated by PKR party and it's leaders' aspirations rather than providing benefits in the interest of people of Selangor and the state.
Rafizi's move questioned..
