Malaysia towards Mature Politics?

Seeing a picture of DS Najib having a brief light moments with DS Anwar most probably at the swearing-in of new parliamentarians, made me smile.
Datuk Seri Anwar with Datuk Seri Najib.

The picture was posted by a twitter friend, Mediha Mahmood

At the same time outside the parliament house, 30 over protesters were reported  hauled and locked up for offenses I myself, not so sure at this stage.

Both Chiefs of the ruling party & the opposition can exchange words and smiles as if nothing is wrong when actually authorities on the part of the ruling party were apprehending protesters of the opposition.

I am not suggesting that they shouldn't but it's just kind of weird under such circumstances. Agony, tension, haze & fatigue outside parliament, as if, not being felt inside the house.

In politics, that's what usually happened. The middle & below tend to overly reacting. I won't be surprised if this won't go down well with them, from both devides.

With such backdrop, how about moving towards a more matured politics where 'fights' for political supremacy be carried out  without sentiments of hatred, slanders, oppression, abuses, cheating & so on.

Political battle that is based on facts for facts, votes for votes, with democratic principles & values observed & practiced.

Agreed, easier said than done! After all, Rome is not built in a day.

Whether I will be spared to witness such change evolve in Malaysian politics or not, only God knows but as a Malaysian citizen & legitimate voter, I will be more than happy to see that the first step is taken.

Like wise man says; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

GE13 has been officially concluded but the struggle of the opposition is far from over.

Reports of protesters being remanded is still making news. Sadly, for some activists their remand today were the 2nd where trials of the 1st are still pending before the courts.

Another picture of light moments between DS Najib and DS Anwar was posted in the latter's twitter time line at 9.55 pm. DS Anwar was obviously laughing with DS Najib holding on to his laugh.

DS Anwar can be humorous at times & that could have caused DS Najib broke into laughter. Looking at that picture, it's hard to tell that the two leaders are actually, still 'fighting".

Nothing is wrong with that picture too, in fact, that should be the way ie always having & sustaining warm relations.
The Ruling & The Opposition relations.Differences to be sorted out 'democratically' putting interest of the people & nation the utmost in priority.

Perhaps, it's not too much to request DS Najib to stop on-going crackdown on  protesters & not becoming offensive too for me to request DS Anwar to stop demonstrations.

What it takes is for DS Najib & DS Anwar to sit down together with members of their coalitions in the mood as shown in those pictures & sort out differences, right the wrongs, all in the name of the people & nation.

Now that haze is choking Malaysians, lets not get choked with political fightings.
