The Selangor chief minister (MB) post and TS Khalid Ibrahim's crisis have it's own wisdom.
It spilled open the "non-rhetoric" version of several leaders within his own party, PKR (People's Justice Party), comprising of several seasoned and up-coming leaders - all along been speculated to rock the boat (PKR) and would also rock the ship (People's Pact,PR), one fine day.
Now, it's apparent that these leaders, together with their unelected de facto leader who is seen succumbed to pressure and demands of such leaders, are showing their colours.
As the idiom goes,"Barking dogs never bite", their hue and cry on alleged wrongdoings of several leaders from the ruling party would from now (if not since the past), be left unheeded and instead would make them like "Anjing menyalak bukit" (Dogs bark the hill, will not collapse) as they (members of their own party) themselves are never deserted from committing the same.
Evident by their revelation of Khalid alleged wrongdoings while helming the (state) government of Selangor, The Six Sins of Khalid Ibrahim the dirt-digging translated in the so-called Six Sins of Khalid is one testimony that opposition leaders too, are no difference than the ruling party leaders.
Kindly analyse the Six Sins to form your own opinion. Khalid's Bank Islam's out-of-court settlement is his personal matters thus, is there a reason of him to voluntarily making it public, unlike Anwar's sodomy cases which are against the law of the land.
It (the bank loan settlement) is his personal matters.
All along I have yet to conclude if Anwar is indeed, a homosexual. Only he and God knew.
Similarly with the book, "50 Dalil Mengapa Anwar tidak Boleh Jadi PM.. (50 Propositions Why Anwar Cannot be PM) by Khalid Jafri.
Anwar was awarded a total of RM4.5 million by the High Court against author of the book, Khalid Jafri, in a defamation suit filed by Anwar. It turns out contents of the book are not credible. Court awards RM4.5 million to Anwar
Now they came up with Six Sins of Khalid Ibrahim which Khalid regard it as serious, defamatory and untrue.
Perhaps, this is what several leaders of the ruling party had been trying to tell all along, especially during elections, that,"It's better the Devil you know, than the Angel you don't know".
Strange and magical, wrongdoings of people from their own party surfaced at critical times when they wanted him out of office. Thus, I couldn't agree more with Suaram's Kua Kia Soong who raises among others -
- How did Rafizi the rat-catcher miss out on these alleged malpractices?
- Is Rafizi only a selective rat catcher?
If indeed they are convinced all allegations levelled against Khalid carry weight, why there was no report lodged with the authorities? Khalid dares PKR to report him to MACC
What are their real motives for making the report titled "The Decision to Replace the Selangor Menteri Besar" public even before necessary official report is made with the authorities?
To claim that the authorities would not act against Khalid for purportedly being "BN friendly" would be a sheer lame excuse and ridiculous.
Among things I have my disagreement with these people (including Anwar) is, whenever they are implicated with any wrongdoing(s)/misdeed(s) or scandal(s), the first line/sentence bulging from their mouth is - Politically Motivated. Orchestrated by their nemesis.
How humorous - though ridiculous, should their act to pregnant their spouses or "intimate girl friends" are also claimed - Politically Motivated!
I am not sure if Khalid would initiate a legal proceeding against Saifuddin and those in association in the "making" of 40-page dossier. Personally, I think Khalid should. To clear his name.
Anwar's sacking from party (Umno) and government is politically motivated, his sodomy cases, politically motivated, and now he is "on his way" (show-cause letter issued) to sack/expel Khalid from party and government (state), wrong for Khalid to claim it's politically motivated?
Yes, I'm critical of Anwar. My own perception is, he has far deviated from his original struggle - Justice. He expect justice be served on him, but he "overlooked" or "ignored" justice for others.
I am not in anyway got carried away with Khalid. If true he being the MB for Selangor has committed serious wrongdoing(s) detrimental to people and state's interest, there is no reason to hold him back.
However, even if it's true, it should be done in proper manner. For whatever his wrongdoing(s), if found guilty, it must be observed that justice is served on him.
As we talk of justice served, it either has the meaning that justice (in the sense in which it is the maintenance of what is just and right, or the personification thereof) is the recipient of service, or is the thing that is delivered (in the sense in which it is the punishment delivered to the guilty). It's ambiguous in meaning, but those two ambiguous meanings express the same result.
Anwar and his associates cry for justice, isn't Khalid is entitle too?
As at today, I would strongly believe that the show-cause letter sent to Khalid has shut all doors for any possible "peace talks" between PKR top leadership and himself to resolve the controversy.
Khalid has three days to reply the letter by on/or before 8 August failing which, he would face expulsion from PKR. Khalid given 3 days to reply..
Khalid's political secretary Azman Abidin was reported to have said that,"Even if this happens, Khalid will remain as MB as no one has the locus standi to remove him," he said yesterday.
On the purported meeting between Khalid and PKR president Wan Azizah, he said,"The meeting was suppose to be held on Monday night but it did not take place."
He said Khalid was angry following PKR's secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution's earlier statement about the 40-page dossier which includes allegations over the out-of-court settlement of Khalid's multi-million loan from Bank Islam.
Azman said,"Tan Sri (Khalid) asked why were they attacking him from the back and at the same time asking for a meeting to resolve the matter."
It was also reported that earlier in Shah Alam, Khalid said he wanted to be proven innocent against allegations of wrongdoings in land and business deals involving the Selangor Government before explaining himself to PKR.
Khalid said,"That has been a statement (by Saifuddin) alleging that I was involved in wrongdoings.
"I want to be tried in court because I believe in transparency," he told reporters.
Like the usual cries of Anwar and his leaders including Saifuddin, "innocent until proven guilty", the burden is now with them to prove Khalid's guilt. There shouldn't be another double-standard practice here.
On whether there would be a possible snap election in Selangor it will depend on Khalid's next move after receiving the show-cause letter.
A constitutional expert Prof Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi was reported saying that only MB (in this respect, Khalid) can seek snap elections, not any party members. In short, not Anwar, not Azizah, not even Saifuddin.
Dr Shad further said, it was then up to the Sultan to grant the request to dissolve the state assembly.
The Sultan can question the need for snap polls. "It has only been 15 months since the last general election," Dr Shad said yesterday.
Only the Menteri Besar can seek snap elections, not party members, a constitutional expert said.
Prof Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi said it was then up to the Sultan to grant the request to dissolve the state assembly.
"Snap polls means dissolving the state assembly and that is the privilege of the Menteri Besar (Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim)."
The Sultan can question the need for snap polls. "It has been 15 months since the last general election," Dr Shad said yesterday.
He further said, Anwar could merely advise or instruct his party members, but Khalid had the legal authority to call for snap polls.
"Don't forget that Khalid has two capacities, one as PKR party member and the other, as the appointee of the Sultan. In the latter capacity, he does not take orders from anyone." Stressed Dr Shad.
He said if Khalid loses a motion of no confidence in the state assembly, he could stand to lose his MB position OR he could be expelled from PKR and becomes a political orphan and an independent state assemblyman, but should Khalid can prove to the Sultan that he has the support of others,he can be retained.
However, Khalid's political secretary Azman said, the Sultan could decline to dissolve the assembly and instead advise Khalid to resign.
I'm not sure at this stage what is on Khalid's mind. PKR or Anwar could claim ownership of Selangor MB post, but what if Khalid resigns on/or before 8 August (expiry of show-cause letter) and join PAS?
Can PKR or Anwar or the others including Azizah instruct Khalid who no longer a party member?
At this juncture, things would appear more complicated as PKR has to now deal with PAS which, through it's top two, party president and it's spiritual leader indicated their moral support for Khalid to stay on.
The fact that PAS ulama will hold special prayer for Khalid demonstrates the former's continuous support. PAS ulama to hold special prayer
On top of that, a PAS leader says defend Khalid like how we defended Anwar against Dr Mahathir. Defend Khalid like how we defend Anwar against Dr Mahathir
PAS central committee member Nasrudin Hasan who "ousted" BN's former Temerloh MP and former deputy minister Saifuddin Abdullah in 13th general election (GE13) said,"I think, if Khalid is now ousted by Anwar from the menteri besar seat through many allegations, it is appropriate for PAS led by Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to rise and defend Khalid who is prosecuted and humiliated," the Temerloh MP said on his Facebook page.
In 1998, then PAS president Datuk Fadzil Mohd Noor started the Gerak movement to spur the public towards defending Anwar, after he was sacked as DPM and finance minister as well as being expelled from Umno.
Has Anwar forgotten this? Has his wife party president Azizah forgotten this? Saifuddin, Azmin and others forgotten this?
Wasn't allegations and/or accusations levelled against Anwar were more "sinful" than that of Khalid Six Sins?
Who stand behind him?
Forgotten or deliberately forgetting it? Come-on! Thus, that goes my earlier question,""Do I Have A Reason To Support PKR?" and I think, I have the right answer.
It's obvious who are "behind" Anwar now. Not difficult to track the root of those who talk out loud in "defending" his every move in the social media, including the "Kajang Move" catastrophie.
It's good that I don't get carried away with their postings and just ignored them for they are entitled to their own opinion as much as I'm entitled to mine.
